Frequently Asked Questions
What is IndexAlley?
IndexAlley is a trading-practice simulator for NQ and ES futures traders. You trade hidden historical sessions under prop-firm-style rules to build and prove your skills before risking real money or paying for an evaluation.
Is this real-money trading?
No. You trade a simulated $50,000 account against real historical price data. No real orders are placed and no brokerage account is involved.
Is the market data real?
Yes. Every session replays genuine historical NQ or ES futures price and volume data. The displayed candles form from those records as the challenge progresses.
Why do the candles form instead of appearing immediately?
Watching each candle develop lets you practice reading momentum and making decisions while price is moving. Challenges play faster than real time so you can get meaningful practice in a shorter session.
What are the challenge rules?
The standard evaluation uses a $50,000 account, a $3,000 profit target, a $2,000 intraday trailing drawdown, and a maximum of four contracts. Reach the target before the session ends without breaching the drawdown to pass.
What is a trailing drawdown?
The drawdown floor follows your highest live account equity, including unrealized gains, and never moves back down. Touching that floor blows the account.
What can I trade?
IndexAlley features NQ (NASDAQ-100) and ES (S&P 500) futures challenges.
What indicators are available?
You can use EMAs, SMAs, VWAP, volume, RSI, MACD, and session high/low lines. RSI and MACD can be displayed together in independently resizable lower panels.
Does passing provide a funded account?
No. IndexAlley is practice designed to strengthen execution, discipline, and consistency before a real prop-firm evaluation or live trading.
